ZINAIDA

Ukrainian artist, founder and director of volunteer-based initiative ArtRehub. Graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (Bachelor of Art History, 2017) and Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University (Bachelor of Psychology, 2009). Lives and works in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The main topics of ZINAIDA’s projects are the study of mythologems, national and archaic images. Due to this delivery narrative of relevant content, ZINAIDA invents language which addresses the world while telling about the uniqueness of Ukraine. Direct participation in cultural and ethnographic researches, acquaintance and interaction with bearers of ancient knowledge and practices preface to many projects.

ZINAIDA focused on original artwork of women, who are mediums of sacred knowledge and have never been in the context of modern methods of artistic achievement presentation.

The artist works in mixed media: video-installation, performance, cinema, applied art.
