Olena Pryduvalova

Born in 1960 in Kiev, Ukraine.In 1986 she graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (faculty of painting, department of theatrical-decorative art, workshop of D. Leader). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.Since 2012 – one of the founding members of the creative team «Blue October».

Awards:

1998 – Outstanding artists of Ukraine. First prize.

1996 – Outstanding artists of Ukraine. Honorary Award.

«Painting is my work. When I write, I feel calm and free. I need solitude and silence in the workshop, then everything is concentrated in the head and in the hands. My main theme is Kiev: «portraits» of streets, houses, arches, corners, caryatids, the play of light and shadow. My view is through color: the maximum intensity of color and light. Life is full of surprises. The main thing – to keep the ability to wonder life. The main thing – to keep the ability to wonder life. Nature already exists – it is perfect, it cannot be portrayed, one can only wonder at it and imagine it as you feel it.
