Art Me Gallery charity activities
Charity has always been an integral part of social events.
This year our Art Me Gallery took part in L’Officiel Ukraine Red Shoes Christmas Dance by Mercedes Benz. As part of the ball, a quiet auction was held, the funds from which will be used to help the Nursing Home in the Kiev region. As a lot, we presented the work by Serge Payet “Impulse”.
The painting “Impulse” / “Impulse” was created in the direction of Op-art.
Op-art (an abbreviated version of the English optical art – optical art) is an artistic movement of the second half of the 20th century that uses various optical illusions based on the peculiarities of perception of flat and spatial figures. This trend continues the rationalistic line of technicism (a variety of modernism) and goes back to the so-called “geometric” abstractionism.
Serge Payet is artist, designer, 35 years old. Member of the Surrealist Association of the City of Paris. Creative director of the IDoL fashion house. Participant of the project Kiev Fashion Park (work “Glasses for reading” on the Landscape Alley). Took part in joint exhibitions at the PinchukArtCentre project by Candice Breitz, in M17 “Vogon of Love. Dedicated to the Maidan. ” Together with Voloshyn Gallery, several projects and group exhibitions #INSTAART, INSPIRED BY BLACK SQUARE, #NextStep, #RESTART were made at the Mystetsky Arsenal as part of the UFW. First solo exhibition 33/34 in 2015 And second solo exhibition “Madame, montpensier?” took place recently from 21.11 to 14.12 2017 in the gallery parfum buro. Serge Payet is the ideologist of the design project of love and care for animals Kotik by Kotik. Author of the emblem of the 32nd Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships.
Also among the artist’s merits are the development of shapes, drawings, logo for MASHA YAKUSH Tableware and two exclusive projects for the Cartier jewelry house. Serge Payet’s paintings are in many private collections not only in Ukraine, but also in Cannes, Paris, Hazebruck, Basel, Oslo, Dortmund, Madeira and many other European cities.
